Payment Gateway for TikTok Sellers 2026: Top 3
TikTok Shop has its own checkout. For bio-link, DM and digital sales, we compare three gateways on payment methods, fees, signup and payouts.
By Paymegate Team · Published October 17, 2026
Choosing a payment gateway for TikTok sellers starts with one question most guides skip: are you selling inside TikTok Shop, or using TikTok to send buyers somewhere else? TikTok Shop runs its own checkout and pays you out itself, so a gateway only matters for the sales you make outside it: link-in-bio stores, DM orders, digital products, services and markets where TikTok Shop is not open. This guide compares three gateways for those sales, with fees and terms checked on each provider's website on 17 October 2026.
Quick answer: PayMeGate is our pick for TikTok sellers who take payments off-platform. Buyers can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or crypto through a payment link, the fee starts at 1% plus the payment provider's fee, and merchant signup asks for no ID or business-document uploads (customer checks can still apply depending on the payment method). Paymento suits crypto-only sellers at 0.5% per transaction, and BTCPay Server is free if you can run your own server.
Editorial disclosure
PayMeGate publishes this article and sells payment processing, so we rank our own service first. Fees, payment methods and terms below were checked on each provider's official website on 17 October 2026. Terms change, so confirm current fees and requirements before you sign up.
Payment gateways for TikTok sellers at a glance
| Rank | Gateway | Fee | Buyer payment options | Payout | Best for |

| 1 | PayMeGate | 1% + provider fee (cards); 1% + network fee (crypto) | Credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Revolut, SEPA, crypto | USDC, USDT, ETH or POL to your wallet | Sellers whose buyers pay by card |
| 2 | Paymento | 0.5% (own wallet) or 0.5% + $0.20 (embedded wallet) | Crypto only | Crypto to your wallet | Crypto-friendly audiences |
| 3 | BTCPay Server | No processing fee (you pay hosting) | Bitcoin, Lightning, other crypto | Directly to your wallet | Technical sellers who want full control |
How TikTok Shop payments work (and where a gateway fits)
TikTok Shop is a closed-loop marketplace in the US, the UK and several Southeast Asia markets. The buyer pays inside the TikTok app on iOS devices or Android devices, TikTok processes the transaction, and the seller receives payouts to a bank account set in TikTok Seller Center. You do not plug your own payment gateway or outside payment processors into TikTok Shop.
What payment methods does TikTok Shop accept?
TikTok's US Seller University page, dated 4 September 2025, lists the TikTok Shop payment methods (the supported payment methods for US buyers): credit and debit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover Card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna. Klarna is for US customers aged 18 or over, on eligible orders of $10 to $1,000, and splits the price into four interest-free payments every two weeks. Buyers can securely save their card details for future purchases and edit or delete them in the app; a buyer can also log in with a PayPal account at checkout. Other markets add local e-wallets.
So TikTok Shop accepts the same payment options most mobile buyers already use for purchases: a credit or debit card, a digital wallet, a PayPal account or interest free payments through Klarna. A few practical points on TikTok Shop payment methods for buyers and sellers:
- Adding a new payment method: buyers add or change payment details at checkout or in the app's payment settings, and the saved method is offered on future purchases.
- Refunds: buyers request refunds in the Orders section of the TikTok app.
- TikTok Coins are separate. Viewers buy TikTok Coins to send gifts to TikTok creators during LIVE videos; a Coins balance is not one of the shop payment methods.
- Declined payments: a declined card is usually a bank or billing-address issue. Buyers should double check the card details or try another of the accepted payment methods.
What TikTok Shop sellers pay
Seller guides from FastMoss, Synder and others cite a standard US referral fee of 6% per order, with lower rates in some categories, and several say payment processing is included in that rate. TikTok's own Seller Center shows the referral fee for each category, so check it there before you price products.
The off-platform rule
TikTok Shop prohibits sellers and creators from redirecting customers off the platform to complete a purchase. Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs, in its e-commerce safety ratings page for TikTok Shop, quotes that rule and notes that violators face enforcement action on their accounts. If a buyer found your product in TikTok Shop, finish the sale in TikTok Shop.
When TikTok sellers need their own payment gateway
You need a gateway for everything that is not a TikTok Shop order, including sales that start on TikTok or other social platforms:
- Link-in-bio stores. A clickable website link in your bio sends followers to your own site or a payment link. Third-party guides say personal accounts need 1,000 followers for the link, while business accounts can add one without that threshold; check the website field in your TikTok account settings.
- Custom orders and services agreed in comments or DMs: commissions, coaching, design work, made-to-order products.
- Digital products such as courses, templates and presets.
- Sellers outside TikTok Shop markets, or whose product listings TikTok Shop does not accept.
- Repeat customers who already know you and buy directly.
What "no-KYC" means for a TikTok seller
"No-KYC" is used loosely online, so it helps to separate three checks:
- Merchant KYC is identity verification of the person opening the account: passport scans, selfies, proof of address.
- KYB (know your business) is verification of the company: registration documents, ownership, business bank statements.
- Customer KYC is verification of the buyer, applied by the card processor, wallet or on-ramp that handles the payment.
A creator-seller with no registered company often fails KYB at a traditional processor. A gateway that skips merchant document uploads lets you start taking payments the same day, but card and PayPal payments still pass through regulated providers, and those providers may ask the buyer for verification on some orders. No legitimate gateway can promise that nobody is ever checked.
How we chose these gateways
We looked for gateways a TikTok seller can use from a payment link, without a company or a full e-commerce store, and checked:
- Payment options buyers already use on TikTok: debit card, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal, because most buyers come from a phone. A gateway with fewer accepted payment methods loses sales at checkout, so we compared each gateway's payment methods with the TikTok Shop payment methods buyers know.
- Fees: the percentage and any fixed fee, published on the provider's own pricing page.
- Merchant onboarding: what the signup asks for.
- Payouts: how and where funds settle.
- Acceptable use: what the gateway prohibits, so sellers know where they stand.
- Integration: payment links, API and store plugins.
1. PayMeGate: best payment gateway for TikTok sellers with card buyers
PayMeGate is built for sellers who are refused or slowed down by traditional processors. For a TikTok seller, the key point is the checkout: a buyer tapping your link can pay with the same payment methods they use in TikTok Shop, and you receive stablecoin or crypto settlement in a wallet you configure.
PayMeGate fees (checked 17 October 2026)
| Item | PayMeGate |
|---|---|
| Card gateway | 1% + provider fee |
| Crypto gateway | 1% + network fee |
| Minimum order | $1 to $30, depending on the payment provider |
| Monthly, setup or reserve fees | None listed |

Full details are on the PayMeGate pricing page.
Key features
- Accepted payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Revolut, SEPA and local bank transfers, plus BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT, SOL and other crypto. These cover the TikTok Shop payment methods apart from Discover Card and Klarna, so buyers see familiar payment options and can complete the purchase with a credit card, debit card or PayPal account.
- Signup: asks for basic account and business information, with no identity or business-document uploads. Independent payment providers may apply customer verification, fraud, sanctions or compliance checks.
- Payment links and API: share a hosted checkout link in your bio or DMs, or use scoped API keys. Plugins exist for WooCommerce, WHMCS, PrestaShop and OpenCart.
- Mass payouts: split incoming crypto payments up to 19 ways, useful for paying creators or partners.
- Disputes: handled according to each payment provider's rules.
Best for
Creators and small sellers whose followers expect to pay by card, Apple Pay or PayPal, and who want payouts without opening a company bank account.
Things to consider
Payouts arrive in crypto or stablecoins, so you need a wallet and a way to convert to your local currency if you need fiat. PayMeGate's acceptable use rules exclude fake shops, adult content, gambling, intoxicating substances and any criminal activity. The FAQ explains how provider checks and payout timing work.
2. Paymento: low fees for crypto-only sales
Paymento is a non-custodial crypto payment gateway that describes itself as KYC-free and supports over 4,000 crypto assets.
Paymento fees (checked 17 October 2026)
| Wallet setup | Fee |
|---|---|
| Bring your own wallet | 0.5% per successful transaction |
| Paymento embedded wallet | 0.5% + $0.20 per successful transaction |
| Starting credit | $15 free, covering about the first $3,000 of payments at 0.5% |
Key features
- Payment links: its payment link page lists "Selling Products via Social Media" as a use case, so you can share a link without a website.
- Extras: invoicing and a crypto buy-now-pay-later product.
- Non-custodial: funds go to your own wallet or a store wallet only you can authorise.
Best for
Sellers whose audience already holds crypto, such as tech, gaming or Web3 communities.
Things to consider
We found no card checkout on Paymento's pages, so buyers who only have a credit or debit card cannot pay you directly. Its terms of service prohibit illegal activity and infringing intellectual property rights.
3. BTCPay Server: free and self-hosted
BTCPay Server is free, open-source software that you run yourself. Payments go straight to your wallet with no processing fee and no third party.
BTCPay Server costs
| Item | BTCPay Server |
|---|---|
| Processing fee | None |
| Your costs | Server hosting or a third-party host, plus network fees |
| Assets | Bitcoin on-chain, Lightning Network and other crypto |
| Fiat conversion | Through plugins |
Key features
- Payment Requests: long-lived invoices you can share as a link, handy for custom orders agreed in DMs.
- Non-custodial: BTCPay never holds your funds or needs your private key.
- Plugins: connections to common store platforms.
Best for
Technical sellers who want zero processing fees and full control.
Things to consider
You need to install, host and maintain it. It is crypto-first, so card payments are not part of the core software.

Fees and settlement: what a TikTok seller actually pays
On a $40 order paid by card through PayMeGate, the platform fee is 1% ($0.40) plus whatever the card provider charges for that order. On the same order paid in crypto through Paymento, the fee is 0.5% ($0.20) after your free credit, plus network fees. On BTCPay Server, there is no processing fee, but you pay for hosting.
Inside TikTok Shop the cost structure is different: guides cite a 6% referral fee per order, and you are paid by bank transfer on TikTok's payout schedule. Many sellers run both: TikTok Shop for products found in the feed, and a payment link for custom work, digital products and repeat buyers.
How to set up payments outside TikTok Shop
- Create your gateway account. On PayMeGate, sign up, add a payout wallet and choose your settlement asset.
- Create a payment link for each product or service.
- Add the link to your TikTok bio using the website field, or a link page that lists several products.
- Use links in DMs for custom orders, and keep a record of what was agreed.
- Connect a store if you have one. Install the WooCommerce or other plugin, or use the API.
- Test a small payment with your own debit card before you post the link, then log in to your dashboard and check the payment and wallet balance.
The payment gateway page shows the order flow, and the no-KYC payment gateway page explains what signup does and does not ask for.
Risks and compliance for TikTok sellers
- TikTok's rules come first. Do not move TikTok Shop buyers to an outside checkout. Account enforcement can cost you far more than a fee.
- AML obligations stay with you. A gateway without merchant document uploads does not remove your own legal duties. Do not accept payments you suspect are proceeds of crime.
- Card network rules apply. Visa and Mastercard prohibit selling illegal and counterfeit goods, and providers can refuse or reverse payments that break those rules.
- Chargebacks and refunds are real. Card buyers can dispute a payment with their bank. Publish a refund policy, and keep order records, delivery proof and DM agreements.
- Sanctions. Payment providers block sanctioned countries and persons, and some orders will be refused.
- Tax and finance records. Income from link-in-bio sales is taxable in most countries, and crypto settlement may create its own tax events. Keep separate business finance records and ask a tax adviser about applicable rules.
- High-risk products. If your products are classed as high risk, read the high-risk payment gateway page and each provider's acceptable use list before selling.
Frequently asked questions
What payment methods does TikTok Shop accept?
In the US, TikTok Shop accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna's four interest-free payments. Accepted payment methods vary in other markets.
How do TikTok Shop sellers get paid?
TikTok processes the buyer's payment and pays the seller to a bank account set in Seller Center, on a payout schedule, after deducting fees.
Can I use my own payment gateway on TikTok Shop?
No. TikTok Shop handles checkout itself and prohibits redirecting buyers off the platform. A payment gateway is for sales outside TikTok Shop, such as link-in-bio stores and custom orders.
Is TikTok safe for payments?
TikTok Shop payments run inside the app through TikTok's own payment processing. Turn on two-factor authentication for an extra layer of account security, never pay a seller who asks you to move the conversation and payment elsewhere, and watch for phishing messages that ask for payment information.
What payment gateway is best for high-risk businesses?
Look for a gateway that publishes its fees, acceptable use rules and dispute process. PayMeGate's high-risk gateway offers card and crypto checkout with no rolling reserves or monthly fees, within its acceptable use rules.
How much does a payment gateway cost?
Most charge a percentage per sale, sometimes plus a fixed amount. PayMeGate starts at 1% plus the provider fee, Paymento charges 0.5%, and BTCPay Server is free apart from hosting.
What is the cheapest way to accept payments online?
Self-hosted crypto through BTCPay Server has no processing fee, but most buyers expect to pay by card, and lost sales cost more than fees.
Which is the safest payment gateway?
One with clear terms, hosted checkout so you never handle card details, and a published dispute process. Avoid gateways that hide fees or ownership.
Is there a card to crypto payment gateway that doesn't require KYC?
PayMeGate takes card payments and settles in crypto without merchant ID or business-document uploads at signup. Card and wallet providers can still verify customers on some orders.
Is Stripe or PayPal better for small business?
Both work well for registered businesses in supported countries, and both verify merchants. Sellers who cannot pass that verification, or want crypto payouts, use alternatives like PayMeGate.
Can I use a TikTok account to sell without TikTok Shop?
Yes. Many TikTok creators sell services and digital products through a bio link or DMs and take payment with their own payment methods. Keep TikTok Shop purchases inside TikTok Shop.
Do I need 1,000 followers to add a payment link?
Third-party guides say personal accounts need 1,000 followers for a clickable bio link, while business accounts can add one sooner.
Final verdict
The right payment gateway for TikTok sellers depends on where the sale happens. Inside TikTok Shop, TikTok's checkout is the only option. For everything else, PayMeGate is our pick: buyers pay with cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal, you pay 1% plus the provider fee, and payouts land in your own wallet without document uploads at signup. Choose Paymento if your buyers pay in crypto, or BTCPay Server if you want zero fees and can run a server.
